1. User/Guest Membership Agreement

• All users of the HOETUS mobile application to be deemed as a Guest of HOETUS and are therefore required to accept the terms and conditions before making any bookings through the HOETUS app.

• Bookings made without being a HOETUS Guest member would be subjected to payment at rack rates as posted by the property owner. HOETUS would not be liable to offer any benefits to such guests.

• The rates quoted/published by the Host Members would be inclusive of breakfast only OR of 2 meals ( Modified American Plan, which is usually a breakfast and dinner ), 1 time Tea and a bottle of mineral water per day. Any extra meal, water bottle and Tea/Coffee would be chargeable to the Guest as per the menu rates.

• Booking made after enrolling as a HOETUS Guest member, would entitle the Guest to avail special discounted rates. Guest Members could also avail various other offers and benefits offered by HOETUS from time to time.

• HOETUS Guest Membership rate of Rs. 999/- entitles the Guest to book properties at discounted rates throughout the year for any number of bookings. Membership needs to be renewed annually for continued loyalty benefits.

• Guest Membership and Membership Club plans are non-refundable deposits and therefore are not subject to any cancellations. However, in case of any dispute, Guest might contact HOETUS customer service for resolution

• Guests could be subjected to strict action (legal implications) in case of any illegal activity or ruckus at any of the member property

• Guests are subjected to be reviewed and rated on HOETUS app and related platforms, as per their behavior and levels of neatness (littering habits).

• Guests have the right to review and rate the property and its services on HOETUS app and its related platforms.

• In case of situations like lockdown due to pandemic or natural calamities, HOETUS reserves the rights to reschedule the booking at future convenient date in mutual agreement with the Guest. However, such situations do not entitle refund to the Guest.

• As a standard policy for Child stays; children up to the age of 7 will not be charged. Children above 7 years, would be charged as per adult rates. Maximum of 2 children ( upto 7 yrs old ) would be eligible for free stays, however for above 2 children per booking would be charged at 50% of the applicable rates.

• All Guests (including children) are required to upload/send digital copy of valid identity card and proof of date of birth before arrival at the property. Original copy of the ID could be asked for verification at the property. Please comply with these regulations.

• Guest should be aware that booking a Home-stay/Eco Stay means that they would be offered local cuisine of that region. However, Guests can make special requests through the HOETUS customer service before arrival at the property and arrangements could be made if feasible by the property owner.

• To avail Club Membership benefits, booking has to be made at-least 30 days prior to the booking date.

• All pick-ups and drops mentioned under Club Membership benefits, are subjected to not exceeding the distance than the nearest Railway Station / Bus Terminus / Airport.

• All meals mentioned under the Club Membership packages are not subjected to exceed the standard of a 3-star restaurant, not exceeding the budget of Rs. 599 / head per meal.

• Guests are discouraged to smoke, consume gutka or consume alcohol at any public place during their entire stay.

• Any damage (intentional/accidental) to a HOETUS member property or HOETUS member taxi would attract appropriate fine from the Guest member.

• HOETUS or its partner property members would not be responsible for any physical or mental wound in case of any adventurous activity by the Guest during the tenure of their stay with HOETUS. This includes activities like any adventure sports, hiking, trekking, swimming and mountaineering etc.

• In case of an unfortunate accident during travelling by a HOETUS member taxi, Guest would be entitled to coverage by the insurance plan subscribed by the Guest Member. HOETUS would not be liable for any further compensation.

• Guests are discouraged from any activities like littering/spitting at public places. Such Acts may attract fine of Rs.200/-, and could be collected by any Host Member or Volunteer of HOETUS against a receipt.

• Allocation of Home-Stay properties for Club Membership benefits are subjected to standard Type 2 Home Stay properties only.

• Additional guests during a club membership stay would be charged as per regular rack rates.

• All payments made to HOETUS would be exclusive of taxes

• Guests are to abide by the standard check-in and check-out time listed by the Property Member.

• Guest Membership and Guest Club Membership subscription amounts are subject to revision by the Governing Body of HOETUS, however existing and ongoing membership plans would not be asked for extra payment until the time of renewal.

• Facilities/Benefits listed under the Club Membership plans are subject to revision by the Governing Body of HOETUS. However, HOETUS would honor the commitments listed at the time of purchase of the Club Membership.

• Guest Membership are subjected to be black listed in case of any illegal activity or mischief at any of the HOETUS member property. No refund of the membership fees would be made in case of such situation

• Guests would be required to follow standard protocols as required by the government regulations during the time of situations like COVID pandemic or any similar situation in the future.

• As per the standard legal guidelines, Guest identity would be shared with the local Police Station for security purposes.

• HOETUS would not store any Guest payment information other than the payment type and the transaction details.

• HOETUS respects the privacy of its members and therefore would not share any Customer data like Name, Email address, payment information and phone numbers, with any third-party company

• Guest members are requested to understand that Home-stays/Eco-stays are part of a village or eco establishment and therefore need to follow certain social guidelines like: No loud music / party after 10.30 pm.

• Host kitchen would be serviceable until 10 pm. Guest would be required to comply with the timeline accordingly

Cancellation and Refund Policy:
- Guest Membership fees is non-refundable and is valid only for a year from the date of subscription
- Any Property booking made, is fully refundable if cancelled within 12 hours of booking.
- After 12 hours the booking cannot be cancelled. It can be only rescheduled on a future date after contacting the HOETUS help desk within the next 48 hrs.
- Once a reschedule is done. The booking cannot be cancelled or rescheduled again either being cancelled.

Cancellation and refund policy for Club Memberships :
- Club Memberships are not transferable.
- Club Membership once taken needs to be availed within 1 year.
- Club membership trips can be rescheduled only twice in a year.
