When children feel misunderstood or left out by friends, this meditation supports emotional healing and inner confidence.

Meditation to overcome the feeling that friends don't always understand me.

Om Shanti. Hello my little friend. Let's sit comfortably now. Your back straight, shoulders relaxed.

Take a deep breath in and slowly breathe out. Very good. Sometimes friends can be a little tricky, right? They might laugh when we don't want them to or forget to include us in their game. In all of this, our hearts feel heavy like a small cloud covering the sun. But now let's do a small magic meditation together.

Imagine a tiny light shining in the middle of the forehead. That light is you, the real you. A beautiful, peaceful, and loving being. Inside that light, you are full of kindness and compassion.

When someone doesn't understand you, you don't have to become sad or angry. You can just shine your light even brighter.

Now, say to yourself softly, "I am loving. I am kind. I am compassionate."

Now, imagine a golden light coming from above, soft, warm, and full of love. That light is the Supreme Being, the ocean of love. That light touches your heart gently, filling it up with peace and happiness.

All the hurt feelings melt away and your heart feels light again.

Now say to yourself in your mind: I imagine that golden light spreading all around me like a soft blanket of love. I am safe. I'm loved, and I'm never alone.

Now, I send a little sparkle of that love to my friends too. Even the one who teased me, I whisper in my heart, "May you all be happy, my friends."

When I do this, I feel calm. I feel kind, and I feel peaceful. I smile softly and repeat to myself:

My friends may not always understand me, but I understand myself.

I am love. I am peace. I am light. And my heart smiles again.

Om Shanti.

As a child practices this gentle meditation, it helps in understanding and processing feelings of being left out or misunderstood. By visualizing their inner light and connecting with a warm golden energy, children experience a sense of comfort, safety, and self-worth.

This guided journey allows children to build emotional strength, develop compassion, and return to a space of peace. It nurtures kindness not only toward themselves but also toward those who may have hurt them, leaving their hearts lighter and their smiles brighter.

The more consistently this is practiced, the more it nurtures a natural cycle of emotional hygiene — releasing the old, receiving the new — making each day a true fresh start.

Brahma Kumaris has Rajyoga Meditation Centers across the globe. These centers are peaceful and welcoming spaces where you can learn and practice Rajyoga meditation in person. Most cities have at least one center, and larger cities often have several located nearby.
